A Discussion on Different Ways to Make Money from Apps
Facebook Developers Forum
+++Goods and services apps.
Apps that let you order food in, request laundry pickup, do your grocery shopping
+++Coordinate your school activities/timetable, with your intramural games, your varsity training, your events attending on FB as well as drop in a few pokes here and there. *I realize now if i drop in something funny, some people lose the whole plot. curious*
+++Apps as an advertising creature in itself
How? I send you a gift and the gift is a thumbnail or icon of a tiffany bracalet. You can leave it at that, or click on it, and go to an online catalog to view. Whether that inspires you to buy something or not, I dunno, but you’ve just advertised.
+++e-Commerce App
how about an app that issues you coupons and rebates?
(of books, based on Books I’m reading or travel guides based on Trips I’m making or business self-help books, because you’re doing that trading app FSX, as well as installing a Guy Kawasaki app) or based on what your group is discussing, be it Oprah Book Club, Outward Bound Facebookers (hiking equipment, etc)
I believe, Lee, maybe you can make a SHOP.COM app, with the CART technology it could work.
+++Compliment to other Technologies
How about an app as a GPS locator? You’re on your .mobi login, you click on that app, and Google Maps appear, complimented by a Yellowpages app, that lists local businesses and useful numbers
+++Online services and transactions
How about an app that allows employers or ad agencies to pay you str to a fb account?
not a definitive list and not a surefire way to success. just alternatives. if i could see into the future, i wouldnt be typing in this forum.
